If you requested transportation to the Westin, you will receive a confirmation from Big Island Transportation ahead of time. They will be at the airport with your name on a sign. If you have any challenges with your transportation, Big Island Transportation can be reached at 808-756-1144.

Activities and What to Wear

Maui should offer us wonderful temperatures in October, with temperatures averaging between 70 and 89 degrees. That being said, most of our evening activities will be outside – so you may want to consider bringing an extra layer such as a sweater or light coat.

Sunday

Let’s be honest – everyone wants to check in early and check out late in Hawaii. Our hosts will do their best to get your room ready – but just in case we will have a changing room reserved by the pool. Then go and enjoy the pool, the beach, or all the local restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Come by the registration desk starting at 2 and we will get you your welcome bag, your name badge and credentials, and get you set to enjoy a wonderful convention in Paradise.

Our Welcome Reception will be indoor/outdoor so plan on traditional nice casual clothing. We will have a great picture opportunity for your Christmas Card too!

Monday – Tropical Beach White Party

We are trying something new. We are asking everyone to wear White on Monday night. Again we will be indoor/outdoor with our food and entertainment. So this is a great opportunity to dress up and bring your best white clothing!

Tuesday – A little more casual

We have some great things planned on Tuesday on top of our business content. Many of us will be competing in the annual RTOA Golf Tournament.

But if you are not a golfer – you can sign up for the first-ever RTOA FOOT GOLF COMPETITION! Essentially you’ll be kicking a ball at targets just a little bit larger than the hole that the putters are going after…. But it’s all at the same location over at the Ka’anapali Golf Course. Sign up with the link above.

Then we’ll open up the bar a little early and enjoy a great reception right on-site at the Golf Course. So come right after play – be super casual – and enjoy a unique experience under the stars. Since we will be completely outdoors – this would be a good night for a sweater or that extra layer…

Wednesday

Wednesday afternoon, we’ll be giving back to the Hawaiian Community that continues to be so good to the RTOA. We are heading over to the Boys and Girls Club in Lahaina. There are several ways you can help:

We are asking everyone to please bring some school supplies with them. We will collect them at registration and give them to help the kids with their homework.

We will be giving the kids an overview of cooking as well. We are hoping you will volunteer to join us as we teach the kids about healthy vegetables – how to choose and prepare them. And of course, the best way to use vegetables is on a pizza – and we will be helping the kids prepare and cook those as well. You can sign up to volunteer with the link.

Please remember that even if you aren’t joining us in person, we are asking EVERYONE to please consider bringing some school supplies with you to help the kids. We will gather these at registration and present them to the kids on Wednesday. Items the kids need are:

  • Pencils
  • Pens
  • Lined Paper
  • Glue Sticks
  • Erasers
  • Pencil Sharpeners
  • Scissors
  • Rulers
  • Composition Books

If you are interested in participating in person on Wednesday, a special shirt and lunch are included. Please click on the link below to sign up.

Our evening awards dinner will be completely inside, so if you wish to dress up, this is the evening for it.
